I got these skates for my daughter for Christmas. She is six and a beginner skater so I wanted to get adjustable skates that will last two seasons at least. We've used these once and my daughter said they are really comfortable and she didn't experience any discomfort at all. That is pretty good considering most skates will cause some discomfort. They are sturdy and she felt secure in them. My only complaint is that they are not the easiest to adjust. My husband tried first but since the shoe of the skate is plastic and stiff (and will not bend much) he couldn't fit his hand in to loosen the screws. I was able to do it, but one of the skates had a screw in so tight that I hurt my hand trying to adjust it. Since these are adjustable skates and you must unscrew this before using them I wish the factory settings didn't have them so tight.
