I had gotten my little girl a pair of Metal Mulisha Etnies years ago. They were for boys but they looked so awesome on her. I just happen to save them and ended up having a little boy a few years later. So finally when he turned two he was able to wear them. Eventually they got too small so I ordered another pair just a different style. They came in the mail today and he loves them. I wasn't aware when I ordered them that they have an insole in the shoe that you can take out when they get too small to make them larger. I am very happy with this brand of shoes!

Scott Girl's Tumbler Mitten, Black/Arba Bluue, Large Review

Finding mittens in January in Minnesota shouldn't be difficult, but the stores pretty much clear out inventory around Christmas. When my daughter lost her mittens we had difficulty finding an affordable replacement. These mittens by Scott were great. Might be a bit large, hard to distinguish variables in mitten/glove sizes for kids as there are a couple different measuring systems.

I love pepperjacks. They're durable, comfy, and grippy. Also they're a bit longer than most grips, which I really like. I've mauled a lot of similar grips, but pepperjacks are hard to kill. They are open ended and ship with an end cap, which make them easier to put on and take off than a closed grip like ourys. The dual density rubber pattern is awesome, it makes sure your hands stay put and I find it very comfy. On the cushy scale these are slightly firmer than odi cush and ourys. I use them both with and without gloves, no complaints either way.

I ordered these boards to actually put on my wall as art. I wanted some blank cheap boards that I could paint on and put on the wall. It has been twenty years since I skateboarded and I just wanted some fun stuff on the wall. Sort of making a 80s/90s room with posters and stuff. Well these boards are awesome. I recieved NEON Pink, NEON Green, NEON, Purple, NEON Yellow and NEON Orange....I LOVE THE COLORS! None of them are a woodstained color they are completely painted.

Each board is individually wrapped in plastic then they were plastic wrapped to each other. Grip taped rolled up along with the boards. Pack was excellent as there were NO dents, scratches or anything and I am very happy since these are just going on the wall. The paint on them is so nice I really don't even know if I will paint on them, might just stick em up on the wall as is.

As far as someone that actually wants to skate these...they definately will slide with all the paint that is on the board. They seem very well made for the cost and have made in China stickers on the boards. They have a very nice shape and look to be the same quality of board by touch and look as the ones sold at local skateshop. Now I am not riding these and havent done so in since the 90s so I couldn't tell you about their pop.

Marmot Women's Power Stretch Boot Cut Pant, Black, Small Review

I LOVE these pants! They are warm and cosy, and I almost hate taking them off. I only wish that Marmot had more accurate sizing. At 5' 8" and 140 lbs, the medium is cut rather baggy and short for me -- rather like pajama bottoms, rather than boot cut pants. An inch or two more in the inseam length would be perfect.

I also bought the same pant in the "tights" style, but in a size SMALL, and that's a much better fit on me -- I should have gotten the small with these boot cut pants, except that then they'd be ridiculously short...

Except for the annoying sizing issue, again, these pants are awesome!

Columbia Men's Heat Elite II Jacket (Black/Blade, X-Large) Review

I'm writing this to warn all my fellow Columbia lovers that this jacket, as of 11-15-11, is not the same Columbia Men's Heat Elite II Jacket that's on the Columbia website, or any other reputable website for that matter (Backcountry, Altrec, Campmore, etc) . The material is different, the stitching is different and the seams are different. This one, sold by Amazon seems to be inferior in those categories. I've written and called Amazon. They are aware of the issue, but until they've fixed the problem, I would discourage you from buying this jacket from Amazon as it is either wrong or an inferior edition. I hope this helps!

UPDATE 11/21/11

Amazon still has yet to answer my concerns. You can buy this jacket from backcountry.com for $125, currently on sale and a very good deal! Again, you will notice that there is considerable difference between this jacket on Amazon and the "good" jacket at the Columbia and Backcountry websites. Additionally, you can buy the Heat Elite Jacket (2010 edition) from Columbia retail outlet stores right now for around $100-$110 if you have any near you. Hope this helps!
