I bought these shoes for the fact that they were aesthetically pleasing, but thankfully, the canvas material also allows your feet to breathe. The tongue for the shoe is anchored on both sides so you don't get the tongue falling off to one side or the other. The main drawback for this - and it's a big one - is durability. The shoes started to rip pretty fast along the parts of the shoes that received the most creasing. Also, if your feet sweat, as mine do, the creased areas will build up this white stuff (salt? urea?). Once that happened, the shoes looked terrible - especially because of the color. Lasted about 6 months, which is pretty sad for sneakers you wear twice a week, in my opinion.
