There are not many ski carriers around anymore. The wider skis are too big for the old ski totes and the like. It is nice to have a way to walk with skis and poles from the parking lot and this little, simple carrier works well. It does not have a place for poles, so you either carry them separately, or figure out a way to combine them, perhaps in the clip part that attaches to the ski brake. I am working on that idea, putting them through the loop on top, and using a larger clip than the one provided for the bottom part. See the ad picture and you will know what I mean. I recommend this carrier, as it is small, and fits easily in my pocket ( I would not wear it around my neck as suggested.... I would not want any hardware around me if I fall).
The older ski totes allowed you to store your skis on the car rack, and lock up your skis using the carrier with your cable lock. With this, you just use the cable and wind it around the binding to a fence or ski rack. Not as neat but it works. I use a binding cover on the skis for the car rack when I travel, so that covers this simple carrier as well, so it always stays on while traveling.
