After years of riding with half helmets on a Road King with a sidecar, I looked into the wireless technology. These things have come a long way! I only rated them a 4 star because my new 3/4 face shield helmets have not arrive yet and I haven't installed the headset. I did, however test the functions outside of the helmet and I am impressed with the clarity and ease of use. I tested the range to around 100 feet line of sight. Although these are for rider and passenger only, you might get away with using them on two bikes. Don't buy them with that single intent, though! These work with voice commands, if your cell phone is equipped, and most are. I don't recommend calling everybody while on the bike, but its great for my wife in the sidecar when you have teenagers at home! I also wasn't sure about switching from full duplex(hot mic) back and forth to standby so to save battery life. I now understand and was even more impressed with the ease in which to use standby. Once you pair the two, either one of you can press and hold MFButton for 3 secs (two beeps) and it will send both into standby. Either one of you can then push and hold for three secs and listen for a distinct high pitch double tone that puts you both right back into full duplex(hot mic) once again. This is nice because theres no two-way communication going on. Its just like your sitting and talking in the car. The last time I really looked at communication devices, they were mostly used by people on touring bikes and all were plugin. Man has that changed! If all this sound like you, I would try a set of these. They are not much money for the F3's because they don't have all the bells and whistles of the 4 and 5's. I paid 80 with free shipping. Hope my two cents is helpful!

Update...6/18/13- I have ridden three rides with these now. They work great, just pay close attention to location on helmet when sticking on the mount. It could tend to pull off somewhat if curvature of helmet doesn't matchup to mount. Of course this is only if you are not going to use the two piece mount...depends on the helmet! I have upgraded my first rating to 5 star now. Looks like they went up 20 bucks, however riding season is now in full swing and thats going to happen.
