I've only just started using the tune ups so I can't speak on their longevity which seems to be a problem reading other reviews. The issue with the cords being even length so it runs down your back is not a big deal. I have a Giro Revolver helmet and its really simple to maneuver the cords so they evenly hang down behind my left ear. This keeps them out of the way during a day of riding while still making the mute button easy to find on whichever side I want.

The sound is great and super loud without having to shove ear buds in. There is a slight difference in volume with the right ear a bit quieter than the left but it's not problematic.

I'll add more after a season of use to see how the hardware holds up.
