Before buying this new model, I saw many reports of short battery life. Here's what I found recently. When set at 1080p with 60 fps to film snowmobiling (outside temp 20-30F), the full charge lasted around 25 minutes. I recharged the battery and let it record while sitting on my table inside the house (70-75F). The record time was double that of outdoors. I then dropped the resolution down to 720p at 120 fps and the battery lasted 123 minutes inside the house. At 720p and 60 fps, the battery lasted 120 minutes indoors. I am going to keep testing it to determine the optimum settings/battery life for my needs. These results suggest the lower resolution gives longer battery life. The frame rate may also, which is my next test. Note: I also disabled the wifi feature so as to not drain the battery when not needed. The remote is also turned off. Using a 64GB card at 720p and 120 fps, my file size was 26.4GB for 123 minutes of footage. For 720p and 60 fps, the file was 19GB in size.
