I like the cap but it isn't something I would wear sitting in a treestand or blind in hopes of keeping my head warm. I was looking for a real thick hat like the true Russian types that you get from the military surplus markets. I like the camo pattern but it's a snug fit and not heavy enough to keep you really warm on a truly cold winter day. If you are moving around and keeping warm it should be fine but if you are stationary for hours on end then I don't think this will provide enough warmth. All together it is nice and for a younger kid or smaller adult it may prove fine. I have a larger head and it is snug. It kills any loft you get if the hat is too tight and as a result your head gets cold. I'll keep searching but for the price this is a nice hat for smaller heads or if you are just out walking.
