Tecnica Mega 12 Ski Boots - The Tecnica Mega 12 is a great boot for the intermediate skier who has a medium to wide forefoot and can fit a wide variety of leg shapes. The 80 flex is not too soft and mushy, but not too stiff, so the intermediate will have rebound, power, and a wide range of motion. The Tecnica Ultra Fit Liner has a great mix of comfort and performance, and has some Man Fur, and a tongue handle pull strap added to ease in the entry of the boot, and keep you comfortable. The foot is padded by EVA rubber and is thermoformable by air, at most ski shops to accelerate the braking in process. The Triple Position Cuff Catches of the Mega 12 can be moved very easily to fit a wide range of leg shapes, narrow, medium and large. You have a total range of 44 mm to get your leg properly buckled in for comfort and more control over your skis. A 30 mm velcro powerstrap acts as a fifth buckle to keep the cuff of the boot properly wrapped around your leg, and give you more leverage and power to flex your boot. The Power Spoiler can be moved up or down for you to increase or decrease the amount of forward lean, or it can be removed all together for extra room in the cuff. Just purchased these as a new skier. Having a wider foot, these were the most comfortable of several i tried. Still chose to get heat molded foot beds, but the 27 shell for my 11.5 shoe size was a good fit.
