Black Diamond Skateboard Grip Tape Sheet Clear 9 in Review

I bought this tape to put onto a custom board I was building using a black painted deck. I like the coarser texture of it, compared to regular black grip tape. My problem with it, was that it wasn't exactly clear. It was more like a light tannish color. Almost a khaki. So it messed with my plans for how I wanted my board to look.

It was easy to cut and put into place. What I didn't like about it was that the edges weren't as tacky as regular tape. So it took a while for me to fuse them with the board so they wouldn't come off easily.

I rode with it all last season and it felt great once it was on the board properly. Just make sure you take the time to work the bubbles out of it before it sets. If you're going to buy a grip tape cleaning eraser for this, make sure you get the clear one because the black one messes it up.
