I have been skating for over 15 years. I am a good size guy at about 235lbs and these skates are plenty strong and durable for me to skate them hard. K2 skates have been without question the best skates I have ever used. These FIT8 4 BOA's are even better than I could have expected. They are as comfortable as a skate could possibly be and the BOA closure system is as quick and easy as humanly possible. I cannot imagine finding a better skate for comfort and smooth skating. I play roller hockey out on black top in these and also just free skate. I like that the 84 size wheels are still nimble enough for me to make quick turns for hockey but large enough to skate at good speeds while free skating. If you are looking for the best skate under $200... you just found it. They look great, fit great, skate great and again, I am so glad I went with the BOA closure system as it is so far superior to laces it will make you wonder why anyone would ever want anything different. You can put these skates on or take them off in a fraction of the time of a laced skate and the BOA cable tightens a lot more evenly across the entire soft boot in a couple quick turns of the dial, making them that much more comfortable. Buy these skates and you will be happy. I think men or women would appreciate them. These are good for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. You will not find a better 84 wheel size skate in my opinion. My last set of K2 soft boot skates lasted years of extreme hockey useage and I expect these will as well... of course you will need to buy a wheel tool to rotate and/or change out your wheels if you skate a lot as they no longer come with the tool like they used to.
